We had a girl's night out planned over the weekend. One of my girlfriend is seeing this guy for few months now. They live some 90 minutes apart and spend a night or two in a week at each other's places. This is what happened the night before our girl's night out:

The night before my friend's boyfriend slept over at her place. They alternate weekends at each other houses, and that night, he stayed at her place. They discussed that on Friday, she was going out to a salsa dancing lesson with her girlfriends. Which he encouraged her to do (go on a girls night out). Now lately they've been pretty busy with each other and can't spend much time with their friends. So basically, she had a girls night out planned for Friday. He was staying at her house that night (and the weekend).

So Wednesday he comes over and in bed he gives her the most gigantic love bite on the neck. She is only 28 and he is 39. She is pretty shocked because they're adults and it looks SHOCKING.

Now, she doesn't believe for a moment it was a "heat of the moment accident".... she believes that he did this because he's really JEALOUS and was thinking that if she goes out on Friday with a massive bruise on her neck she won't pick up.

She is too shocked to even be angry about it. Should she be angry? Is this is passive aggressive attempt to ensure she doesn't find another guy on Friday?

I don't think it should be a big deal. The boyfriend seems to be a nice and decent guy and I don't expect him to be attempting such thing as marking a territory or something. Your thoughts please?
